Ojumu Foundation Sets to Pay Its Trainers after Verification Exercise

As part of the genuine love and efforts of Dr. Desmond Oludare Ojumu and his Foundation to put smiles on the faces of the Constituents of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, to alleviate poverty and to reduce unemployment as well as supporting the State Government led by our visionary Governor, Dr. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, the ninety(90) trainers engaged as facilitators to train the trainees in various vocations such as tailoring, hairdressing, electrical, welding, barbing and ICT, under the Youth Empowerment Programme of Ojumu Foundation will begin to receive their training fees with effect from Friday 11th December 2020.

It will be recalled that Ojumu Foundation flagged off the Empowerment Programme on Wednesday 11th November 2020 which was graciously witnessed by notable dignitaries within and outside the Constituency including the Executive Governor, State of Osun Dr. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola who was ably represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. Nathaniel Agunbiade, APC State of Osun Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, SUBEB Chairman/DG, Ilerioluwa Campaign Organization, Hon. However, as a result of the pleas from different quarters that the Foundation should increase the number, even after we have matriculated 125 youths, to accommodate more youths who are vehemently willing to participate in the programme.

The Foundation as a body that cares for people had to augment the number from 125 to 150. So, as it stands now, 150 youths are currently undergoing trainings after which free tools and materials will be given to all the trainees on the graduation ceremony day.

And as the programme is designed to empower the trainees and trainers, Ojumu Foundation will commence payment of training fees to the ninety(90) trainers as earlier mentioned to the tune of ₦1.8m having concluded the verification exercise where all the training centres across Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency were visited including Ijebu-Jesa, Ibokun, Ipetu-Ijesa, Ilare-Ijesa, Esa-Oke, Erin-Ijesa, Ijeda-Ijesa, Erinmo-Ijesa, Ikeji-Ile, Ilase-Ijesa, Esa-Odo, Ipetu-Ile, Iloko-Ijesa, Ilahun-Ijesa, Erin-Oke, Iponda, Idominasi, Iwoye-Ijesa, Idoka, Ira Ikeji-Ile and other communities.
