Shina Peller Says His Agricultural Empowerment Will Attract Great Results

….Appreciates everyone that graced the Shina Peller Agricultural Technology Empowerment (SPATE) 2021

A member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency of Oyo State at the House of Representatives, Hon. Shina Peller, has extended his appreciation to those that graced his agricultural empowerment programme over the weekend.

The lawmaker had empowered thousands of farmers in his constituency with mechanized farming equipment worth millions of naira.

“Yesterday, about one thousand, five hundred of my constituents who are farmers benefited from the mechanized farming equipment that I made available to them to aid their farming business.

“The negative effect of COVID-19 on our economy and the need for us to diversify our economy from mono (oil-driven) to a productive agricultural economy influenced my decision to initiate Shina Peller Agricultural Technology Empowerment (SPATE) 2021 with theme: Boosting Oke Ogun Economy through Mechanized Farming.

Hon. Shina Peller added that “Oke Ogun is an agrarian region with great agricultural potentials that can help contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth, but our farmers lack necessary modern-day agricultural tools needed to make farming less cumbersome, yet more lucrative.

“In addressing this, mechanized agricultural tools such as electronic knapsack sprayers, motorized fertilizer applicators, motorized seed planters, harvesting machines, grass cutters and weeding machines were given to farmers drawn from all the 42 wards that make up the four local governments in my constituency.

“I believe that after this empowerment, our farmers will begin to perform better and with less energy to attract greater results.

“Special thanks to everyone that graced the occasion starting from my dear brother and friend, Hon. Akin Alabi (Member House of Representatives, Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency), to the Oyo State Coordinator, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Ogunwale Joseph Adeniyi, HRM Oba (Dr). Abd-Ganiy Adekunle Salau, Ajinese I (Aseyin of Iseyin), the Onjo of Okeho, HRM Oba Rafiu Mustapha, Amuni of Ijio, Oba Oyewobi, Bajigan of Ilaji Ile, Oba Lawal, Eleyinpo of Ipapo, Oba Abdulyekeen Ademola Abioye, Oniro of Otu, Corps members serving at Technical College, Iseyin and others.
