Sani Abdullahi Donates N10m Cash, Inputs, Others to Young Farmers

The National Executive Council of Nigeria Young Farmers Network led by the Director General Mr. Promise Amahah has received a massive boost for the 2020/2021 farming season with a donation of N10 million, farm inputs and support which comprises of fertilizers, knapsack sprayers, high yield seedlings, training, access to market and more.

This was made possible by the young farmers’ Patron and member of organisation’s Agribusiness Support and Advisory Council, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Abdullahi.

Alhaji Sani Abdullahi, who is also the Chairman of AMSAJ Industries Co. Ltd, presented the N10 million cheque and materials to the farmers today to support over 1 million members of Nigeria Young Farmers Network in line in their “Raise A Million Farmers” nationwide initiative.

While speaking to us, he emphasized that the future of Nigeria solely lies in the efforts of young people to come together and engage in Agriculture while resisting every form of youth restiveness and criminality.

He further stated that this is just the beginning of his support to Nigeria Young Farmers Network and his donation today is a token of appreciation for the incredible work of youth mobilization, enlightenment and empowerment done by the network.

He promised that his support will reach our over 1 million members in the North East, North West, North Central, South West, South South, and South Eastern part of the country.

According to the Director General, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi further made commitments to support all the group’s programmes, provide market access for their commodities, facilitate training programs and other logistical support necessary for the rapid growth of the network.

In response to the laudable gesture, the NYFN Executive Director, Impact Investment, Hauwa Bako Mohammed and her colleague the National Coordinator for NYFN Women, Angela Iruozoke, thanked Alhaji Mohammed Sani Abdullahi and his company, AMSAJ Industries Co. Ltd, for raising the bar in encouraging and empowering young people in agriculture through the Nigeria Young Farmers Network.

They both noted that his exemplary action is worthy of emulation by all captains of industry in Nigeria as “this would greatly change the narrative on youth development while promoting National Security and Food Security.

“Agriculture still remains the highest employer of labour in Nigeria and Nigeria Young Farmers Network is set to reposition the sector through proactive youth engagement”, the leaders noted.
